New additions to the Court Department - Investing for further Excellence

At Taylor & Henderson we are expanding the Court Department with the addition of two new arrivals to join our established Court Solicitor, Barbara Black, who is based in Irvine. Angela Goldie will be based in Kilwinning and Katie Honeyman will be based in Saltcoats.

A STEP in the right direction
We are very proud to announce that one of our Associates, Jacqui Taylor, who works principally in our Irvine Office, has recently been accepted by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners as a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and a full member of the Society. She submitted three thesis papers to the Society in support of her application to become a TEP. These papers discussed the new Inheritance Tax double nil rate band, the responsibilities of Trustees in terms of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and the duties, powers and record keeping obligation on Trustees. STEP members are recognised as being the most experienced and senior practitioners in the field of trusts and estates. We are delighted to have recently added Katherine Honeyman to our team of solicitors. Katherine is very experienced in her field and deals with all aspects of court work including matrimonial/family work. Latest start to our training programme
We at Taylor and Henderson are doing our upmost to assist law graduates through these difficult employment times. In order to show our commitment, we have taken on a new first-year trainee into our two-year traineeship programme. Hayley McCall is a graduate from the Glasgow Graduate School of Law and is working within our Court Department. She has a keen interest in both civil and criminal law work.
New tots arrive at Taylor & Henderson!
A baby boom is officially underway within the ranks of Taylor & Henderson! Our first proud new mother is our Practice Manager Yvonne Cook who gave birth to Jenna Cook on the 3rd December 2009. Jenna was born a healthy 9lbs 4ozs and both mother and child are doing well.
Tot number two is Ava Grace. Ava's mum is Amanda Russell, one of Taylor & Henderson's paralegals. Ava Grace was born in the early hours of the 5th December 2009 and weighed in at 5lbs and 4ozs. Ava is safely home with her mum and they are both healthy and getting on great.
